Content & Community Guidelines
These Content and Community Guidelines explain what is and is not allowed on Ejar Check. They form part of our Terms of Service. Following them keeps the Platform useful, fair, and lawful for everyone.
The Golden Rule
Write only about rental experiences you have genuinely had, first-hand. Be honest, be specific, and stick to facts you can stand behind.
What Is Allowed

- Factual statements you believe to be true and can reasonably support.
- Fair opinions, clearly expressed as your personal opinion.
- Relevant photos that you took and have the right to share.
What Is Prohibited
- False or misleading statements presented as fact.
- Defamation — untrue statements that damage a person's reputation.
- Insults, hate speech, threats, or harassment against any individual or group.
- Private personal data of others — national ID numbers, identity documents, phone numbers, exact home details of individuals, or anything that exposes a person's privacy.
- Discriminatory content based on religion, origin, gender, disability, or similar grounds.
- Fake, paid, incentivised, or retaliatory reviews, or reviews where you have a conflict of interest.
- Reviews about a property you have no genuine rental relationship with.
- Spam, advertising, or off-topic content.
- Obscene, illegal, or otherwise unlawful content.
Photos
Only upload photos you took or have permission to use. Do not upload images that show identifiable people without their consent, or that reveal private documents or sensitive information.
Anonymous Reviews
You may publish a review anonymously to protect yourself from retaliation. Anonymity hides your name from the public but does not exempt you from these Guidelines or from legal responsibility for what you write.
If You Break the Rules
Content that violates these Guidelines may be removed. Accounts may be warned, suspended, or permanently banned. Serious or unlawful conduct may be referred to the competent authorities. Submitting false or defamatory content may expose you to civil and criminal liability under Jordanian law, including the Penal Code and the Cybercrime Law No. 17 of 2023.
Reporting Content
If you see content that breaks these Guidelines, use the in-app report or dispute function, or contact us. If a review concerns a property you own or have claimed, you may reply to it publicly and dispute it for review.
